The BX2 Series of edge-lit backlights provides a highly diffuse source of illumination, packed within a thin and thermally efficient housing. The BX2 allows for configuration with polarization or collimation. A backlight configured with collimation is best suited for applications requiring a higher degree of edge clarity when imaging object silhouettes. This second edition of our edge-lit backlight series is more than twice as bright as previous BX and CX models. As with most planar backlight designs, this product is useful for edge detection, part location & orientation identification, presence & absence, hole detection and object gauging.

Securely connects the SL112 or SL162 to Moritex, Dolan-Jenner, and Fostec fiber optic light guides  Set screws are included

Part of the MicroBrite™ family of high performance, compact machine vision lights.  Our DF196 Series delivers direct illumination at a low angle to cast shadows used to identify surface defects, embossed text, etc.  This dark field ring light is more directional and less diffuse than the DF198.  Available in 4 sizes with an intesity of 72kLux (working distance of 25mm with DF196-100)

Part of the MicroBrite™ family of high performance, compact machine vision lights.  Provides diffuse illumination at a low angle to cast shadows used to identify surface defects, embossed text, etc.  This ring light is more diffuse and less directional than the DF196.  Can be used to produce a bright field effect when the outer diameter is smaller than the working distance.  Available in 4 sizes with an intensity of 47klux (working distance of 64mm with DF198-180).
