Part of the MicroBrite™ family of high performance, compact machine vision lights.  Provides diffuse illumination at a low angle to cast shadows used to identify surface defects, embossed text, etc.  This ring light is more diffuse and less directional than the DF196.  Can be used to produce a bright field effect when the outer diameter is smaller than the working distance.  Available in 4 sizes with an intensity of 47klux (working distance of 64mm with DF198-180).

The DF241 is characterized as a Small Low Angle Dark Field ring light.  Precisely aimed LEDs provide a very low angle of incidence, radial illumination pattern.  A scratch on a sheet of glass is a good example of a defect that can be detected with a low-angle dark field illuminator.  With a light intensity of 24kLux at a working distance of ½” (12.5mm), the DF241 is perfect for imaging problems limited to a small field of view.  A 25mm field of view is standard with an optional field of view of 35mm.  Available in a range of wavelengths from UV to IR.  *Engineered to provide comparable optical characteristics to our previous RL1360.

The DF242 is characterized as a Large Low Angle Dark Field ring light.  Precisely aimed LEDs provide a very low angle of incidence, radial illumination pattern.  A scratch on a sheet of glass is a good example of a defect that can be detected easily with a low-angle dark field illuminator.  With a light intensity of 24kLux at a working distance of 1” (25mm), the DF242 is perfect for imaging problems with medium sized fields of view.  A 35mm field of view is standard with optional fields of view of 45 and 70mm.  Available in a range of wavelengths from UV to IR.  *Engineered to provide comparable optical characteristics to our previous RL1660.

The RL2115 is characterized as a Compact Aimed Dark Field ring light.  Precisely aimed LEDs provide a specific and repeatable light pattern on the imaging plane.  There are a wide range of wavelengths available from UV to IR.

The RL3536 is characterized as an Aimed Dark Field ring light.  Precisely aimed LEDs provide a specific and repeatable light pattern on the imaging plane.  Provides up to 8.4kLux at a working distance of 3” (76mm).  The light is available in a wide range of wavelengths from UV to IR.  Diffuser and polarizer options are also available.  The large inner diameter of the ring light can accommodate lenses up to 55mm in diameter.  The light can also be ordered with an optional mounting ring.

The RL3940 is characterized as a Folded Beam Dark Field ring light.  Precisely aimed LEDs, along with an aluminum beam folder, provide a specific and repeatable light pattern on the imaging plane.  The light provides up to 11kLux at a working distance of .6” (15mm).  The RL3940 is available in a wide range of wavelengths from UV to IR.  The folded-beam configuration provides dark field illumination in a compact 3.9” (100mm) housing.  The housing’s large inner diameter can accommodate lenses up to 55mm in diameter.  The light can also be ordered with an optional mounting ring.

Characterized as a Dual Function Ring Light, the RL5064 is capable of both bright and dark field illumination with independent control (depending on control option).  A wide variety of wavelengths may be specified from UV to IR.  The large inner diameter of the ring light can accommodate lenses up to 55mm in diameter.  The light can also be ordered with an optional 3 point mounting barrel.
