Standex Detect - Magnetic Floats
Magnetic Float NBR or Nitrile Butadiene Rubber floats have excellent resistance to petroleum-derived liquids such as oil and gasoline and can be used in high temperature applications as well. Magnetic Float PA or Polyamide floats are made of nylon, have a very high strength-to-weight ratio making them shock and abrasion resistant, enduring a pressure of 5 bar (73 PSI or 0.5 MPa). Magnetic Float PP (polypropylene) are rugged, highly resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids and have a water absorption of only 0.1%. V2A Floats are made of rust-proof stainless steel and are resistant to high temperatures making them ideal for the Food & Beverage industry among others.

Continuous level sensors provide real-time monitoring across the entire height of a fluid container. These sensors use magnetic reed switches mounted along a PCB, combined with resistors to generate discreet voltage outputs. As a magnetic float moves along the sensor stem, it activates multiple reed switches, enabling precise and uninterrupted tracking of fluid levels. Advanced models like the CLS and HLS series incorporate capacitive or Hall effect technologies for high-resolution, programmable outputs in harsh environments.
Optimized for high-speed signal transmission and minimal signal distortion, these relays feature low off-state capacitance, making them ideal for RF, telecom, and precision measurement applications.
Cylindrical proximity sensors are housed in round enclosures for easy mounting in tight or standardized spaces. Available with Reed or Hall effect technology, they provide reliable detection of magnetic or metallic targets.
