Safran DSI - STAR S/S-Band Transceiver CCSDS
- Compact Design: Ideal for mini and micro satellites
- Long Lifetime: 7 year-lifetime in Low Earth Orbit missions
- COTS Design: Radiation tested and hardened, ITAR free
Our Space S/S Band Transceiver CCSDS, STAR, comes as a new generation of transceivers to implement high performance Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C) service.
Space S/S Band Transceiver STAR has been especially designed to achieve top-class performances in terms of Tx/Rx communication links (fully CCSDS compliant), power consumption and radiation tolerance. A smart communication protocol has been introduced in order to achieve a fast signal acquisition: on-board & ground station sweep / lock on CW.
With its highly compact, optimized form factor and integrated DC-DC converter, STAR is natively suited for Mini- and Micro-satellite platforms, simplifying integration and optimizing overall satellite architecture.

Reliable Magnetic Switching for High Voltage Applications
The high voltage reed switch series delivers reliable magnetic switching for applications requiring elevated voltage and current handling. Capable of switching up to 10,000 VDC and with breakdown voltages reaching 15,000 VDC, these switches are engineered for high-performance environments such as photovoltaic systems, medical equipment, and automated test systems.
Available in glass body lengths starting at 14 mm, the series includes surface mount (SMD), through-hole, and free-standing options. These reed switches can carry continuous currents up to 15 Amps and pulsed currents up to 30 Amps, making them ideal for proximity, position, motion, and end-limit sensing.
For enhanced durability and simplified integration, these switches can be packaged as high voltage reed relays. Popular relay series such as H, HE, HM, KT, SHV, LI, and BE provide a range of contact configurations and insulation resistance exceeding 10¹³ Ohms, supporting both pick-and-place automation and high-voltage isolation.
