MVG - Rotary Positioners - Performance Series - Virtual EL/AZ Positioners: Light Duty
This unique dual-axis positioner is particularly suited for testing direction-sensing antennas. The virtual elevation axis enables rotation of the DUT around its phase center, placing the mechanical support system invariably behind the DUT. This feature maintains the center of the DUT in one place, while eliminating scattering and interference from the positioning structure.

DC, RF and Optical Probe Positioning for Highest Accuracy Measurements
FormFactor offers a wide variety of manual and motorized probe positioners for any application from DC to terahertz measurements and beyond.
The LCU AL-4189 - Local Control Unit is a hand-held control box specifically designed and built to be used in conjunction with ORBIT/FR controllers and PCU’s. It provides the attendant (operator, serviceman etc.) with a high degree of flexibility in operating the system elements.
AL-38000 model towers are suited for light duty applications with an operating load of up to 150 lbs (68 kg). This series is available with either a manual or motorized linear offset slide. Manual slides can be hand-pushed or hand-wheeled. The mast (vertical or inclined) is available in fiberglass or aluminum construction.
The AL-9504-2 Emergency Stop (E-Stop) Unit provides a central connection point for external emergency stop panic buttons and positioner controllers that are located throughout the system. In the event of an emergency stop, the AL-9504-2 will command the appropriate positioner controller to disconnect motor drive power on all axes.
MVG light duty EL/AZ positioners provide accurate rotation, velocity, and direction with platform sizes up to 12.6 x 12.6 in (320 x 320 mm). Their rugged yet straight-forward construction ensures maximum reliability and trouble-free operation.
Aperture field probe systems are used to evaluate the extraneous signals that exist in the area surrounding the device under test due to reflections and other transmitting sources.
MVG offers a complete range of field probes of varying sizes and configurations to meet diverse testing requirements.
The EH118 EMC Horn combines stable gain performance and low VSWR with wide band frequency operation. The horn is single linearly polarized with excellent cross-polar discrimination. The unique horn design suppresses any possible excitation of higher order modes in the aperture and maintains a well-defined smooth radiation pattern in the direction of the boresight axis throughout the operational bandwidth.
