Part 10: Zooming With an Oscilloscope – Zoom Waveforms and Timebase Adjustment

Oscilloscope zooms are utilized to view and measure details of acquired signals. Many times we want to acquire signals over a wide window of time so we do not miss any changes or unexpected events. There are generally two ways to do this using horizontal zooms.

In this webinar we describe how to view timing details of your acquired signals through the use of both horizontal zoom controls and changes to timebase and delay settings. We will compare and contrast the two methods.

Topics to be covered in this webinar:

  • How to access and utilize waveform zoom controls
  • What is meant by Timebase Zoom?
  • What is the “best” method to use in various situations?
  • Timebase adjustment for zoom on both legacy and newer Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes
