How to Become an Expert in Power Integrity Testing Webinar Series

Power Distribution Networks (PDNs) require careful design to ensure excellent power integrity, especially in high-speed designs. This 8-part series walks you through the fundamentals to advanced topics with a large number of live demonstrations.

5 Tips for Power Integrity Debug

In this session (Part 5), Dr. Eric Bogatin will begin to steer our 8-part series from fundamentals to detailed real-world advice to help you debug power integrity problems faster. This webinar will include demonstrations of multiple techniques on an example microcontroller board.

Topics to be covered in this webinar:

  • Getting the most out of a 10x probe
  • Using a current probe to find ground loops
  • Using a differential probe to measure the current draw in a microcontroller
  • Using a rail probe to measure the switching noise on the I/O pad of a die and using a near field probe to find the location of a potential EMI problem.

Who should attend? Hardware design and validation engineers and signal/power integrity engineers interested in expanding their knowledge on how to solve power integrity issues.

What attendees will learn? Attendees will be given detailed background information on power integrity measurement concepts and demonstrations of best techniques to apply to their measurements.

Presenter: Dr. Eric Bogatin, Teledyne LeCroy Fellow
