mk-messtechnik - optoCAN-FD, Fiber-optic, Automotive Link for CAN Signals, 8 Mbit/s

The optoCAN-FD system can be used for the bidirectional optical transmission of CAN-signals with transmission rates of up to 10 Mbit/s. It consists of two identical battery supplied transceivers connected to each other with an optical fiber. With the optical transmission and the shielded case, the system is well equipped for EMI and EME tests.

Key Features and Options

  1. Flexible Integration:
    1. One transceiver can be optionally integrated into a 19" rack housing.
    2. This rack-mounted option is ideal for setups that remain stationary, offering reduced error sources, faster setup times, and more efficient use of workspace.
  2. Scalable Channel Capacity:
    1. The 19" rack housing can accommodate up to eight automotive communication links, including SENT, CAN, FlexRay, and others.
    2. Channels can be added incrementally, allowing for future scalability.
  3. Compact Configurations:
    1. Variants are available with five channels integrated into a single larger housing.
    2. Smaller housing options are also offered, ideal for reducing tabletop footprint in multi-unit setups.
