User calibration function to optimize DOP and SOP accuracies at arbitrary wavelengths and temperatures
-
Real time Poincaré Sphere display, analog voltage output for SOP/DOP/power for ATE integration
-
Data logging of SOP up to 1 billion points
-
Averaged DOP measurement function for scrambled-input measurement
The POD-201 is an in-line fiber-coupled polarimeter that simultaneously measures the four Stokes parameters to yield the instantaneous state of polarization (SOP) and degree of polarization (DOP) of input light.
The POD-201 in-line polarimeter enables real time monitoring of the SOP, DOP, and power of a light signal in fiber. It also has averaging and statistical functions to measure the time-averaged DOP of a polarization scrambler, to track SOP variation from a reference value, and to monitor the maximum and minimum values of various parameters within a given measurement period.
The PolaView data display and analysis software displays SOP information either on a Poincaré sphere display or on a virtual oscilloscope. It also has functions for PER measurement and for streaming SOP vs. time information to a data file.

Luna Innovations
Luna Innovations mission is to help advance the continuing increase in data transmission rates for the public & private communications network with high speed optical receivers and test products, while also leveraging our unique fiber optic sensing technology to improve the structural testing of new composite elements and components in new aircraft and automobiles.
Luna Innovations Incorporated (NASDAQ: LUNA) was founded in 1990 and has been successful in taking innovative technologies from the applied research stage to product development and ultimately to the commercial market. In some cases, the successes led to the creation of independent businesses. We have created companies in our area of focus, sold some of them to industry leaders in their fields, raised private capital, formed joint ventures and entered into a number of licensing agreements.
