Luna - HDCFG HD Continuous Fiber Grating (CFG) Sensors
-
Optimized for dynamic environments
-
Low-profile and flexible for complex geometries and embedded applications
-
NIST-traceable calibration
-
Dielectric and EMI/EMC immune
-
Plug-and-play operation with ODiSI system
The continuous fiber grating (CFG) sensor expands high-definition (HD) fiber optic sensing applications for the ODISI with more robust and reliable operation in dynamic environments. CFG Sensors provide a gage pitch of 6 mm and are available in lengths up to 15 m.
CFG strain sensors are low-profile versatile fiber optic sensors which provide improved immunity to vibration and higher bandwidth of measurement. Compatible with ODISI 6000 and 6100 systems and standard remote modules, CFG sensors provide a valuable alternative for more dynamic environments.

Ease of use – Less experienced operators can perform an RF calibration up to 500 GHz by simply pushing a button. This reduces the need of experienced users full time on each system.
-
Reduced Soak Time – The system will automatically re-align the probes to the pads if they drift from alignment. This reduces test time and increases throughput.
-
Unattended Use – Measurements can be left running over night or the weekend, testing all devices on the wafer, and at different temperatures without the need of an operator.
-
Calibration Monitor and Re-calibration – System will
continuously monitor calibration drift, and automatically re-calibrate the system should the drift exceed a predefined limit.

Luna Innovations
Luna Innovations mission is to help advance the continuing increase in data transmission rates for the public & private communications network with high speed optical receivers and test products, while also leveraging our unique fiber optic sensing technology to improve the structural testing of new composite elements and components in new aircraft and automobiles.
Luna Innovations Incorporated (NASDAQ: LUNA) was founded in 1990 and has been successful in taking innovative technologies from the applied research stage to product development and ultimately to the commercial market. In some cases, the successes led to the creation of independent businesses. We have created companies in our area of focus, sold some of them to industry leaders in their fields, raised private capital, formed joint ventures and entered into a number of licensing agreements.
