Applications

The Regenerative Grid Simulator – Model 9410 is the smallest and most versatile grid simulator available for IEEE 1547/UL 1741/LVRT and similar grid-connected device testing. This grid simulator is a fully-programmable, full 4 quadrant AC source designed for testing inverters, UPS, and other AC devices. This 4 quadrant grid simulator also supports up to three (3) outputs allowing any combination of DC or 1Φ, 2Φ, & 3Φ AC test channels. Each channel is fully programmable allowing per-output control of the AC voltage amplitude, wave-shape, & phase relationship. In addition, each output channel within this grid simulator contains a built-in advanced measurement system including a 125k Sample/sec waveform digitizer in order to capture and analyze transients, harmonics, & other AC disturbances. These features makes this grid simulator ideal for development, laboratory, and production facility testing especially when a single channel test system is required.

Full 4 Quadrant AC Source

This full 4 quadrant, fully regenerative programmable AC source can provide a 1Φ, 2Φ, or 3Φ simulated utility connection while allowing per-phase controls for amplitude, wave shape, & the relative to a phase angle relationship. These features allow testing of any number of AC conditions. The included measurement system removes the need for an additional devices.

Unique Power Modules Provide Exceptional Configuration Flexibility

The power modules that make up the Regenerative Grid Simulator – Model 9410 are scalable from 4 kW to 96 kW and can be programmed to provide DC, single-phase, split-phase or 3-phase operation.

Higher Power is a Field Upgrade

In addition to each Power Module being phase configurable, any grid simulator can be expanded with additional 12 kW Power Modules to provide more power.

More Reactive Power Capability Per kW

The grid simulator is rated in both true power (kW) and apparent power (kVA) in order to optimally size the test system for the test requirements.

Hundreds of Precision Measurements

The grid simulator includes a built-in measurement system which provides the power analysis tools typically found in digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.

User Defined Waveshapes

In addition to several standard waveshapes, the grid simulator has the ability to generate custom voltage waveshapes.
